Commissioning Engineer

1. Perform commissioning of Siemens PLC systems (S7-1200, S7-1500, S7-300/400).
2. Configure and test HMI/SCADA systems such as TP700/TP1500, WinCC Comfort/Advanced, WinCC SCADA, WinCC Unified.
3. Commissioning and maintenance of PCS7 / DCS systems.
4. Perform I/O testing, loop checks, instrument calibration verification.
5. Execute logic testing, interlock validation, cause & effect testing.
6. Ensure proper field communication over PROFINET, PROFIBUS, Modbus TCP/RTU, Ethernet/IP, OPC, etc.
7. Support FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test) documentation and execution.
8. Diagnose and resolve issues in PLCHMI communication, network configuration, and field instrumentation.
9. Troubleshoot communication issues like TCP port blocking, network conflicts, device faults, I/O module issues.
10. Provide support during plant start-up, shutdown, and emergency troubleshooting.
11. Prepare commissioning reports, test sheets, loop test documents, and punch lists.
12. Update “As Built” logic, HMI screens, and documentation.
13. Ensure compliance with industry standards such as IEC, EN 61131-3, SIL requirements (if applicable).
14. Follow company safety standards and participate in safety audits.
15. Coordinate with project teams, execution team and CFT team for completion of project on-time.
16. Interact with client representatives for commissioning updates and technical clarifications.
17. Provide basic training to operators/maintenance staff on Siemens systems.Role & responsibilities
