Commissioning Engineer

Two weeks on. Two weeks off. Eight hour days. No weekends.

Locke Staffing Group have partnered with an established, independent commissioning firm to bring on Data Center Commissioning Engineers, electrical and mechanical, at engineer, senior and lead level.

Most commissioning jobs burn people out. This one is built not to. The rotation target is two weeks on, two weeks off, and never more than three weeks on.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲:

Hands-on L3 to L5 testing on mid-size Colo and retrofit data centers, up to around 25MW. You test the systems, find the issues and sign off the work on the owner's behalf. On your off weeks you're home, planning the next block from your computer.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴:

• Hands-on L3 to L5 commissioning on data centers or other mission critical sites

• Electrical: UPS, ATS and generator testing, plus a working knowledge of load banks

• Or mechanical: chiller plant testing, including pumps, cooling towers and controls

𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 (𝗯𝗼𝗻𝘂𝘀, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱):

• Liquid cooling or CDU experience

• Colo or retrofit projects

• Time on a commissioning management platform

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿:

• $150k to $160k base plus annual bonus

• Permanent, full-time

• Field-based, up to 75% travel, Midwest or East Coast preferred

• Two weeks on, two weeks off rotation

• A ground-floor seat on a new data center team, with room to grow into lead roles
