About the Role
You'll run the testing and commissioning process on site at DayOne's Chonburi Tech Park (CTP) campus, working with project managers, construction teams, and clients to bring every mechanical system through to handover. Reporting to the Testing and Commissioning Manager, you'll be on site full time throughout the testing and commissioning phase. This role is based at the CTP campus in Chonburi, Thailand.

Responsibilities

Strategy and Protocol

• Support the Testing and Commissioning Manager to develop and implement testing and commissioning strategies.
• Coordinate with the Southeast Asia (SEA) Testing and Commissioning Director to align regional strategy with local execution.
• Enforce testing and commissioning protocols, and compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.

Project Oversight

• Manage the testing and commissioning process for all data center projects on site.
• Work with project managers, construction teams, and clients to hold project timelines and budgets.
• Conduct regular site walks during construction to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with industry standards.

Documentation and Client Collaboration

• Review and approve test plans, reports, and commissioning documentation.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the testing and commissioning phase.
• Resolve complex technical issues as they arise, and communicate the resolution clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

Technical Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with at least 3 years of proven experience in data center testing, commissioning, and operations.
• Good working knowledge of data center infrastructure, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), power systems, and network operations.
• Proficiency in the software and tools used in testing and commissioning, and able to run several projects at once.

Soft Skills

• Explains technical issues clearly to clients, contractors, and project teams, and adjusts the detail to the audience.
• Holds contractors and project teams to the agreed commissioning protocols, and raises non-conformance as soon as it appears.
• Keeps test plans, reports, and commissioning documentation current as the work progresses, rather than reconstructing them at handover.

Nice to Have

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Willingness to travel within the region as required.
• Experience commissioning mechanical systems on mission-critical or data center projects.

This is a full-time-on-site role for the duration of testing and commissioning, reporting to the Testing and Commissioning Manager and coordinating with the SEA Testing and Commissioning Director.
