What they need
What to Expect
Tesla is seeking an EMEA Commissioning Manager for EV charging infrastructure. Your core responsibility is to own and continuously improve the commissioning process across Europe — from pre-commissioning and energization through functional testing and final site acceptance. You will define standardized procedures, hold points, and acceptance criteria for LV/MV infrastructure, transformers, switchgear, protection, metering, earthing, and charging equipment, while aligning with IEC/EN standards, local regulations, and DNO requirements. As the central technical partner to Field Service, Compliance, Service Engineering, Engineering, and Asset Management, you will support field teams remotely, escalate complex issues, and feed lessons learnt back into engineering standards and installation practices. We are looking for an experienced electrical engineer with a strong background in commissioning and electrical infrastructure, ideally including high-power DC charging. Beyond technical depth and process ownership, successful candidates bring a drive to simplify, automate, and raise the bar in a fast-moving energy and infrastructure landscape.

- Develop technical guidance and training materials for teams executing commissioning activities
- Drive for continuous improvement and optimization; look for opportunities to increase efficiency, automate, reduce and simplify
- Review commissioning results and identify recurring technical or process-related issues
- Feed commissioning lessons learnt back into engineering standards, equipment specifications, and installation practices
- Define commissioning approaches for new charger platforms, electrical architectures, and technologies
- Perform site visits for first-of-kind projects, process validation, or complex technical issues
What You'll Bring
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical background
- 5+ years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, commissioning, testing, or electrical infrastructure
- Strong understanding of LV systems and preferably MV distribution systems
- Knowledge of transformers, switchgear, protection, metering, earthing, electrical testing, and energization
- Experience with EV charging infrastructure and high-power DC charging is preferred
- Knowledge of relevant IEC/EN standards and European electrical safety requirements
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and technical documentation skills
- Ability to translate technical requirements into clear and scalable processes
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across Engineering, Construction, Operations, suppliers, and contractors
