COMMISSIONING MANAGER

About the role

The Commissioning Manager will work closely with a highly-competent team of professionals in undertaking sewage treatment plant (STP), water reclamation facility (WRF), water supply and other high-impact infrastructure projects. He will be in charge of the testing and commissioning, Site Acceptance Test and process proving of the plant and will also handle the process and automation and instrumentation (A&I) works of the project, ensuring timely and quality delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the pre-commissioning, commissioning, Site Acceptance Test and process proving of the plant
• Review the testing and commissioning plan and procedures of the Contractor
• Review and evaluate process and A&I design, specifications and drawings against project requirements and actual implementation
• Attend site inspections and meetings related to Plant Commissioning, Site Acceptance Test and Process Proving
• Witness the testing of equipment, instruments and control systems and check the results
• Monitor the plant performance and effluent quality during process proving
• Keep track of proper testing and commissioning documentation
• Coordinate and collaborate with the project management team, clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure timely delivery of projects
• Participate in design and coordination meetings
• Assist in preparation of various reports and proposals

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Environmental and Sanitary Engineering
• Professional License in Chemical, Environmental and Sanitary Engineering or equivalent
• At least 5 to 10 years of working experience in plant testing and commissioning in the field of water and wastewater treatment
• Experience in similar projects (STP/WRF) is an advantage
• In-depth knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes and plant standard operating procedures
• Knowledge of PLC, SCADA, HMI and process instrumentation
• Knowledge of process, AutoCAD and other engineering software applications is an advantage
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and accommodating and proactive attitude
• Ability to think analytically and identify technical and operational issues, anticipate their consequences, analyze from different perspectives, and provide practical solutions
• Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision
