Commissioning Manager

X4 Group is recruiting an intermediate Commissioning Coordinator for a major heavy industrial producer in Dunkirk. You’ll help bring an industrial project from mechanical completion through commissioning to handover, working with engineering contractors, site teams and the operations team that will run the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate pre-commissioning and commissioning across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control systems
• Plan and track commissioning activities, schedules and progress reporting
• Coordinate contractors, vendors and site teams on the day-to-day commissioning work
• Manage punch lists, system turnover packages and handover documentation
• Support FAT/SAT, loop checks, functional testing and start-up
• Interface between project, construction, operations and HSE teams
• Make sure all commissioning work follows site safety rules and procedures

Requirements

• Fluent French (essential), with working English
• Solid commissioning experience on industrial projects, intermediate level
• Background with an EPC contractor or engineering consultancy (strongly preferred)
• Experience in heavy industry such as steel, metals, energy, petrochemicals or chemicals (preferred)
• Good understanding of the commissioning lifecycle, from mechanical completion through pre-commissioning and commissioning to handover
• Able to work 5 days a week on site in Dunkirk
