About the Client

A leading general contractor specializing in hyperscale data center construction is seeking a Commissioning Manager to oversee full project commissioning delivery across multidisciplinary systems including electrical, mechanical, and controls.

About the Role

• Managing overall commissioning strategy across full data center projects
• Coordinating electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and controls commissioning activities
• Developing and maintaining the master commissioning plan and schedule
• Leading integrated systems testing (IST) across all disciplines
• Acting as the primary liaison between GC, client, design teams, and commissioning agents
• Managing commissioning documentation, turnover packages, and closeout deliverables
• Tracking commissioning progress, risks, and critical path activities
• Coordinating system readiness reviews and pre-functional inspections
• Ensuring alignment between construction progress and commissioning sequencing
• Leading commissioning meetings and reporting to senior project leadership
• Supporting LEED / sustainability commissioning requirements where applicable
• Driving issue resolution and ensuring system readiness for final acceptance

About the Candidate

• 5–15+ years’ experience in commissioning or construction delivery within mission critical/data center or industrial projects
• Strong understanding of both electrical and mechanical systems in complex facilities
• Proven experience managing multi-discipline commissioning programs
• Background with general contractors, commissioning agents, or owners’ representation
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to coordinate multiple trades and large-scale project teams
• Deep understanding of commissioning processes, IST, and turnover sequencing
• Excellent planning, scheduling, and reporting capabilities
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making under pressure
• Proficiency with commissioning platforms and construction management tools (e.g., Procore, CxAlloy or similar)
