What they need
Role Summary
A senior field leadership role responsible for owning and driving full-lifecycle commissioning execution across MEP systems on hyperscale data center projects of 100MW+. The role serves as the primary on-site commissioning authority from pre-functional testing through Integrated Systems Testing (IST) and owner acceptance, aligning trade contractors, commissioning agents, design engineers, and client representatives around a single accountable execution plan.
Core Responsibilities
Field Commissioning Ownership — Leading all commissioning phases including pre-functional testing, functional performance testing, and IST across mechanical, electrical, and controls systems. Owning startup and energisation sequencing for chillers, dry coolers, FCUs, pumps, HVAC, switchgear, UPS, generators, BMS, and EPMS.
Schedule & Planning — Driving the six-week look-ahead and constraint log through collaborative planning with trade partners. Applying lean planning practices including takt boards, zone maps, and pull planning to maintain schedule integrity across complex multi-system sequences.
Quality & Compliance — Conducting rigorous field walks, installation reviews, and quality inspections to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and commissioning protocols. Tracking deficiencies and corrective actions in real time with full QA/QC transparency.
Stakeholder Leadership — Leading site meetings with clients, consultants, trades, and internal teams. Presenting commissioning status, risk, and recovery plans with clarity. Leveraging owner's-side experience to anticipate client expectations and resolve gaps before they become schedule impacts.
Cross-Trade Coordination — Managing work interferences, schedule conflicts, and cross-discipline coordination risks in collaboration with the Commissioning Site Manager.
Safety — Maintaining a zero-incident site culture with thorough application of electrical safety, OSHA regulations, and energised work procedures.

- Prior owner's rep or client-side experience
- Expert command of six-week look-ahead scheduling, constraint management, and visual planning tools

- Minimum 50% travel required
Preferred Background
- Proven track record leading IST on complex, high-availability facilities
- Strong conflict resolution and professional judgement in high-consequence environments
