Job Title: Commodity Manager / NPI
Location: San Jose, CA
Duration: Long-Term Contract
Seeking a professional with 5+ years of experience in commodity management, strategic sourcing, or hardware procurement to support infrastructure hardware programs.
Responsibilities:
- Manage hardware sourcing, supplier relationships, contract negotiations, and cost optimization.
- Support NPI, component qualification, manufacturing ramp-up, and product lifecycle transitions.
- Manage supply risks, shortages, demand forecasts, inventory, and supplier performance.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Planning, Operations, Finance, and manufacturing partners.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field.
- Experience with compute, storage, networking, semiconductor, server, or data center hardware.
- Experience working with global suppliers, contract manufacturers, and OEM/ODM partners.
- Strong Excel, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills; exposure to ERP/PLM or supply chain platforms.
