Commodity Sourcing III

Akkodis is seeking a Commodity Sourcing III for a Contract job with a client in Duncan, SC . Ideally looking for applicants with a solid background in the manufacturing domain.

Rate Range: $35/hour to $40/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Job Responsibilities Include:

• High school graduate or General Education Degree required.
• Bachelors Degree in Business, Operations, Economics or Finance preferred.
• Three to five years manufacturing, transportation or heavy construction industry experience.
• Two to four years of purchasing experience.

Desired Qualifications:

• Monitor direct material variances to inform finance and bid and proposal teams.
• Enter and maintain sourcing rules/parameters in the ERP system.
• Obtain samples and coordinate APQP/PPAP qualification process with quality and engineering.
• Manage invoice discrepancies, engineering change requests, claims and chargebacks.
• Manage site-specific commodities and services when assigned that may involve RFI/RFQ and supplier qualification activities.
