COMMUNICATIONS ADVISOR This is an opportunity to join the Lord Mayor of Brisbane’s team as an experienced communications professional.

The Lord Mayor’s office operates in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, engaging with internal and external stakeholders on issues, policies and projects that are priorities for the Lord Mayor and his administration.

As a Communications Advisor, you will be based in the Lord Mayor’s Office in Brisbane City Hall.

Key requirements:

• Demonstrable skills as a communications professional, with experience identifying media and social media opportunities.
• Proven ability to write a range of content, including news articles, media releases, speeches and/or social media posts and scripts.
• Experience filming, editing, drafting and posting social media content.
• Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines and perform on-call duties as required outside regular business hours.
• Exhibits a hands-on, solution-orientated attitude, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work constructively with others.

Experience working as a media or communications adviser for a Federal or State MP, or an equivalent office, will be highly regarded.

A salary and remuneration package commensurate with your skills, experience and qualifications will be offered.

This role will require a Criminal History Check.
