Communications & Digital Specialist

Genetic Technologies Ltd represents Pioneer Brand Products in New Zealand. We’re a 100% family-owned business working with farmers and merchants across New Zealand to deliver industry-leading maize and forage sorghum seed, silage inoculants and seed treatments.

We're looking for an experienced Communications & Digital Specialist to join our Marketing team and help bring the Pioneer brand, products and customer experience to life. This role can be based in either Auckland or Hamilton.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you'll work closely with our marketing, sales, product and forage teams to create engaging content and communications across a range of channels.

About the role

You’ll be responsible for:

• Developing and managing the annual communications calendar
• Creating high-quality technical, product, customer and editorial content
• Managing website content and supporting digital campaigns
• Coordinating suppliers, photographers, designers and other content contributors
• Producing and growing the Feed for Thought podcast, including topic planning, guest coordination and promotion
• Building relationships with rural media, industry organisations and community partners
• Supporting product launches, catalogues, promotional campaigns and other marketing initiatives
• Identifying opportunities to strengthen Pioneer's communications and digital presence

About you

You'll ideally have:

• A qualification or at least 5 years' experience in communications, content creation, marketing or digital marketing
• Exceptional written communication skills with strong interviewing and storytelling abilities
• Experience managing websites and digital content
• Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills
• Strong attention to detail and proofreading capability
• Experience in photography, videography, podcasting or multimedia content is advantageous
• Exposure to, or a genuine interest in agriculture, rural industries or the ability to quickly understand technical subject matter
