 Busselton Water is seeking an experienced and strategic communications professional to lead our communications and engagement function who will play a pivotal role in shaping how we connect with customers, stakeholders, government and the wider community.

 This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of communications strategy, media relations, stakeholder engagement, digital communications and reputation management for a respected regional water utility committed to delivering value to our customers and community.

About the Role

 As our Communications & Engagement Advisor, you will lead the development, implementation and evaluation of Busselton Water's communications and engagement approach, providing expert advice to senior leaders on strategic, organisational and reputational matters.

You will:

 ·    Develop and deliver strategic communications and engagement plans.

·     Provide trusted communications advice to senior leaders.

·     Lead media relations, social media, website content and advertising activities.

·     Deliver customer information, education and awareness campaigns.

·     Build strong relationships with customers, community groups, government stakeholders and the media.

·     Lead stakeholder engagement for major projects and organisational initiatives.

·     Oversee the production of corporate publications, including annual reporting.

·     Coordinate communication responses during significant incidents and service disruptions.

·     Manage external communications agencies, consultants and creative suppliers.

About You

 You are an experienced communications practitioner who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys working across strategy, planning and delivery who will bring**:**

 ·   Relevant tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or a related discipline.

·    Significant experience leading communications and engagement programs.

·    Strong expertise in strategic communications, media relations and stakeholder engagement.

·    Exceptional writing and content development skills across a range of audiences and channels.

·    Experience managing digital communications, social media and reputation-related issues.

·    Proven ability to influence, advise and collaborate with senior leaders and external stakeholders.

·    Strong judgement, initiative and the ability to work autonomously.

 Experience in utilities, water, government or Government Trading Enterprises, along with exposure to ministerial communications, crisis communications, customer research, graphic design, photography or video production, will be highly regarded.
