Communications Intern (6 Months contract)

About the role

This is an opportunity to build a real-world portfolio and jumpstart your communications career. You will work on content creation, social media management, event communications, and brand and Public Relations activities across multiple platforms and channels.

Key responsibilities

• Create eye-catching visuals, videos, and graphics using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or CapCut for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
• Manage content scheduling, community engagement, and performance tracking
• Capture live photos and videos, cover national event launches, and push live updates on-site
• Draft press releases, media kits, web copy, and publications such as Annual Reports
• Build a portfolio of real-world work while collaborating with senior leaders, Commissioners, and external stakeholders

About you

• Self-motivated and keen to learn, with ability to take initiative and pay attention to detail
• Familiarity with design tools such as Canva, CapCut, Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign
• Familiarity with social media platforms
• Strong written and verbal skills in English
• Relevant course of study in Mass Communications, Marketing, Media, Graphic Design, Arts, or equivalent, or a strong personal portfolio and passion for content creation
• No prior full-time work experience required
• Must be able to fulfil the entire duration from October 2026 to March 2027
