Communications Operator - Mining Environment

Not everyone is built for this job. BUT, read on and see if it might be you !

When things get busy, do people look to you?

Are you the person who listens carefully before speaking?

Can you stay calm under pressure while others get flustered?

Do you enjoy solving problems, spotting patterns and working through practical solutions?

If so, you might be exactly who we're looking for.

Spinifex Recruiting is partnering with a leading mining operation to find the next generation of Communication Operators for their Site Asset Operations Centre (SAOC).

And here's the interesting part - No prior mining experience is required. We're looking for people with the right mindset.

What does the job actually involve?

Think of yourself as the eyes, ears and communication hub of a large mining operation. You'll monitor information from across the site, communicate with operational teams, help identify issues before they become bigger problems, and ensure the right information gets to the right people at the right time.

It's a role that rewards attention to detail, strong communication and sound judgement.

You might be a great fit if...

You can play a strategy game while talking someone through a problem.

You can stay focused when multiple things are happening at once.

You're known as a good listener.

People often come to you for practical advice.

You notice details that others miss.

You're comfortable using technology and learning new systems.

You remain calm when things don't go to plan.

For example...

You might be the person who can talk a friend through baking a cake over the phone while organising your own day.

Or the person who can coordinate an online gaming team, keep everyone informed and make quick decisions when things change.

Different examples. Same skills.
