Greene Street Communications is a marketing and public relations firm that helps government agencies, municipalities, educational institutions, and other organizations communicate with the communities they serve. We develop campaigns, outreach strategies, and clear, accessible materials that help people understand important issues and take action.

We’re looking for a Communications Specialist who is a strong writer and an organized project collaborator. You’ll help turn research, client input, and complex information into practical communications for public education and community engagement projects.

What you’ll do

• Write and edit campaign messaging, social media content, website copy, outreach materials, talking points, presentations, and reports.
• Help develop communications plans and content for public education campaigns.
• Support community engagement activities, including surveys, focus groups, working groups, and public meetings.
• Research audiences and issues, review feedback, and help summarize findings and recommendations.
• Work with designers and project teams to develop materials such as flyers, fact sheets, toolkits, and digital content.
• Coordinate client reviews, incorporate feedback, and proof materials before delivery.
• Keep assignments organized and meet deadlines across multiple projects.

What we’re looking for

• Experience in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, community outreach, or a related field.
• Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to make complex information clear for different audiences.
• Strong research, organization, and project coordination skills.
• Experience developing content for digital and print channels.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects and competing deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with clients and team members.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common digital communications platforms.
• A bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience, and at least seven years of professional communications experience.

Experience with public-sector projects, community engagement, accessible communications, or multilingual campaigns is a plus.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
