Community Care Worker

Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Community Care Workers to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in their homes . This role involves delivering personalized care to enhance the wellbeing and independence of clients, particularly those with specialized needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's, The ideal candidate will possess a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives.

Duties

• Assist clients with daily activities including personal hygiene, continence care, dressing, and mobility support
• Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other cognitive impairments
• Support with medication administration following prescribed guidelines
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
• Promote mental and emotional wellbeing
• Manage behavior effectively through compassionate care and behavior management techniques
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and clean environment
• Drive clients to appointments, social activities, or errands as required
• Offer emotional support and companionship to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
• Document care provided accurately in accordance with organizational policies

Requirements

• Previous experience not essential as full training will be given
• Knowledge of patient care, dementia, hospice, and Alzheimer's care is advantageous
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when necessary
• Valid driving license
• Strong communication skills and empathetic nature
• Ability to handle behavioral challenges with patience and professionalism
• Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as required
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to health and safety standards

Pay: £12.75-£13.02 per hour
