About the Company

NUX Audio (pronounced as "New-X") is a music-technology brand that offers a broad range of audio and music products, including guitar and bass effects, stompboxes, multi-effects, amplifiers, wireless systems, digital drums, digital pianos, digital wind instruments, home studio/recording gear, and accessories.

NUX sits at the intersection of innovation, value, and usability. NUX offers professional-grade music and audio gear at remarkable value, designed for real-world use across practice, performance, and recording.

Job Overview

As our Community Coordinator, you’ll help represent NUX directly within the musician community while handling key day-to-day digital marketing responsibilities. Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, this role will focus on community engagement, customer communication, email marketing, content support, and creator research.

A major part of the role is engaging with customers and musicians across social media, forums, and online communities, answering product questions, responding to customer concerns, and joining conversations about music gear in an authentic and knowledgeable way.

What You’ll Do:

  • Answer product and gear-related questions accurately and conversationally
  • Engage with musicians in relevant forums, groups, and online communities
  • Proactively identify conversations and opportunities for NUX to engage with musicians online
  • Help troubleshoot basic product questions and direct more technical issues to the appropriate team
  • Handle day-to-day email marketing, including creating, writing, scheduling, and sending newsletters, product launches, promotions, firmware announcements, and other campaigns
  • Maintain the email marketing calendar and coordinate campaigns with the Digital Marketing Manager
  • Help grow and maintain the NUX email subscriber list through campaigns, sign-up opportunities, and other audience-building initiatives
  • Monitor email performance, including open rates, click-through rates, subscriber growth, and other key metrics
  • Use campaign data and audience insights to improve email content, timing, targeting, and overall performance
  • Test subject lines, messaging, calls to action, and other campaign elements to identify what resonates with the audience
  • Research musicians, creators, artists, and potential KOL partners for collaborations
  • Assist with social content creation, including short-form video, product demonstrations, photography, and behind-the-scenes content
  • Assist with product and lifestyle photoshoots and video shoots
  • Help maintain a consistent and knowledgeable NUX brand voice across customer and community interactions
  • Stay current on music gear, industry trends, competing products, and conversations happening within the musician community

What We’re Looking For

  • Must actively play at least one musical instrument
  • Strong knowledge of music gear and musician culture is required
  • Comfortable discussing music gear and technology, including pedals, amps, modelers, keyboards, MIDI, recording equipment, wireless systems, signal chains, and related products
  • Previous marketing experience is not required for the right candidate. Strong music gear knowledge, communication skills, curiosity, and a willingness to learn are more important.
  • Previous customer service or customer support experience is a plus
  • Experience in music retail, live sound, recording, performing, content creation, or another music industry environment is a plus
  • Strong written communication skills and the ability to explain gear and technical information clearly
  • Comfortable communicating directly with customers and handling questions or complaints professionally
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and online musician communities
  • Comfortable learning email marketing tools, analytics, and performance reporting
  • Able to look at campaign data and use it to make informed decisions
  • Able to communicate naturally with musicians without sounding overly corporate or scripted
  • Strong research skills and an ability to identify relevant creators, artists, and online communities
  • Basic photo or video editing skills are a plus, but not required
  • Organized, proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable learning new tools and responsibilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also working independently

Music gear knowledge is more important for this position than a traditional marketing background. Applicants who do not actively play a musical instrument or have a strong working knowledge of music gear and musician culture will not be considered.

Why You’ll Love Working With Us

  • Work with a globally recognized brand in music technology
  • Spend your day working with music, gear, and the musician community
  • Work directly with new products, artists, creators, and musicians
  • Learn email marketing, community management, content creation, and creator partnerships hands-on
  • Contribute ideas to campaigns, content, and community strategy
  • Opportunity to grow with the brand and take on additional responsibility over time
  • Be part of a team that genuinely loves music and the gear that makes it possible
  • Health Insurance, Vision Insurance, Paid Vacation, potential bonus structure for full time employees.
