Community Engagement Coordinator

Primarily responsible for Meals on Wheels Collin County volunteer engagement, communication, training, and scheduling. Oversees the coordination of MOWCC volunteers and ensures timely route assignments. Reports to the MOWCC Home Delivered Meal (HDM) Transportation and Facility Supervisor. Works cohesively with Client Services, and Technology Departments.

Skills and Experience Required:

• BS or pursing bachelor’s degree or work-related trade or background in Job Corp or Military training
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Strong trouble shooter with ability to execute in crisis
• Strong multitasker
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Experience with volunteer support and management
• Knowledge of MS Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint
• Proven Team player
• Perform meal deliveries to seniors
• Sensitive to the needs of seniors and disenfranchised populations

Volunteer Engagement

• Process new volunteers and monitor online applications

· Attend Volunteer Community Outreach events/opportunities

· Develop and implement strategies to attract and recruit volunteers

· Conducts community presentations

Volunteer Education and Training

· Organize orientation sessions to familiarize volunteers with the organization’s mission, policies, and procedures.

· Performs volunteer training and orientation online and in person.

· Update volunteer training and education manuals

· Provide Mobil Meal application for meal delivery drivers

Policies and Procedures Development

· Update policies and procedures related to volunteer coordinator.

· Ensure that all volunteers adhere to organizational policies and standards.

Volunteer Coordination and Scheduling

• Develop and maintain volunteer schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all activities.
• Schedule individual and group volunteers for route assignments
• Identifies volunteers for Community Call to Action weekend deliveries
• Monitor volunteer deliveries in Mobil Application
• Deliver meals to clients on open routes in absence of substitute volunteers
• Identify and Contact substitute volunteers
• Coordinate and approve Community Service Hours

· Collaborate with other departments to identify volunteer needs an opportunities

Volunteer Communication

• Communicate Volunteer procedures and HIPPA compliance
• Main contact for addressing volunteer troubleshooting and follow up within 24 hours
• Utilize volunteer management software to track and communicate with volunteers. ie. DialPad, and Rosterfy
• Communicates volunteer needs and provides resources to enhance senior well checks
• Conduct annual volunteer survey and needs assessment
• Build rapport and establish trust with volunteers and staff
• Provide clear instructions and expectations to volunteers
• Follows up and ensures Client Services receives volunteer well check feedback for immediate action
• Implementing tools as in project management software, and social media for effective communication.
• Keeping up to date with new communication technologies and best practices.
• Collaborates with other departments to identify volunteer needs and opportunities

Reporting

• Provide monthly volunteer data progress and outcome reports to CEO Office, Program Data.

· Maintain accurate records of volunteer activities, hours, and contributions.

· Prepare regular reports on volunteer program metrics and outcomes.

· Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and regulations.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Pay: $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 per week
