Community Liaison / Marketer

Job Summary

Duties

• Develop and implement community outreach strategies to increase awareness of organizational programs and services
• Serve as the primary point of contact for community partners, local organizations, and stakeholders to build strong relationships
• Plan and deliver engaging public presentations for community outreach events, workshops, and informational sessions
• Manage social media platforms and digital marketing campaigns to promote community initiatives and events
• Coordinate volunteer programs, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and recognition efforts
• Collect data on community engagement activities to evaluate effectiveness and inform future planning
• Collaborate with internal teams on project management tasks such as budgeting, strategic planning, and event logistics
• Maintain detailed records of community interactions, media relations efforts, and outreach outcomes to support reporting needs

Qualifications

• Proven experience in community outreach, public relations, or community management roles
• Strong media relations skills with experience managing social media marketing and public presentations
• Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for report writing and data analysis
• Demonstrated ability in relationship management and customer service within a community setting
• Experience in project management, event planning, or volunteer coordination is highly desirable
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to connect with broader audiences
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
