About the Role

Frontier Association Management (FAM) is seeking an experienced Community Association Manager to oversee a portfolio of homeowners association communities in the San Antonio metro area. This role is the primary point of contact between FAM and the boards of directors, homeowners, and vendors for each assigned community. You will manage governing document enforcement, board relations, financial oversight, and vendor coordination for your portfolio.

This position carries direct legal, financial, and reputational responsibility for the company. We are looking for a candidate who is detail-oriented, financially literate, and comfortable exercising sound judgment in board and homeowner interactions.

What You Will Do

  • Prepare and attend board meetings, annual meetings, and committee meetings, including agendas, financial packets, and accurate minutes
  • Advise the board on fiduciary duties, meeting procedure, and the limits of board authority under the governing documents and Texas law
  • Coordinate board elections, proxies, and quorum requirements, and maintain each community's official records
  • Review inspection reports and issue violation notices in accordance with the association's enforcement policy and Texas Property Code notice requirements
  • Track violation and hearing status for every open case, and present violation hearings to the board when disputed
  • Review monthly financial statements, budget-to-actual reports, and delinquency aging before board presentation
  • Support the board in preparing the annual budget and applying the collections and payment plan policy
  • Flag financial irregularities or signs of fraud immediately to the Director of Operations
  • Solicit vendor bids, negotiate contracts, and confirm vendor insurance and licensing before work begins
  • Inspect completed vendor work for quality and contract compliance before approving invoices
  • Respond to homeowner inquiries and architectural review (ARC) requests within company response-time standards which are same day acknowledgement and next business day resolution and update to homeowner.
  • De-escalate homeowner disputes and know when to involve the board, legal counsel, or law enforcement
  • Confirm each community maintains required insurance coverage and flag any process that may be out of compliance with Texas Property Code
  • Serve as or coordinate the point of contact for after-hours community emergencies, and document all incidents and follow-up actions
  • Support new client transitions and onboarding, including records collection and system setup for communities added to your portfolio

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in community association management, property management, or a related client-facing role
  • Working knowledge of Texas Property Code provisions governing HOAs
  • Experience presenting financial information to a board or governing body and possess basic understanding of the accounting reports (balance sheet, budget comparison and other standard monthly financial packet reports)
  • Proficiency with community management software (uManage or similar)
  • Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to attend evening board meetings and travel to communities across the San Antonio metro
  • Must pass a criminal background check; credit background check required due to access to association funds

Preferred Qualifications

  • CMCA, AMS, or PCAM credential through CAI
  • Experience managing a comparable portfolio at an established San Antonio-area HOA management firm
  • Bilingual English/Spanish

Compensation and Benefits
