Community Mobiliser (BSW)

Health Within Reach Foundation (HWRF) is looking for an energetic and motivated Community Mobiliser to support its community healthcare outreach activities. The role involves extensive fieldwork, creating awareness about healthcare services, distributing pamphlets, interacting with local communities, and encouraging participation in free and affordable healthcare initiatives, including mobile polyclinic services and screening camps.

This is a completely field-based role requiring daily travel and on-ground community engagement. It is not a desk job.

Key Responsibilities

• Visit residential areas, slums, housing societies, marketplaces, and other community locations to spread awareness about healthcare services.
• Distribute pamphlets, flyers, and other awareness materials.
• Conduct door-to-door visits and interact directly with community members.
• Mobilise people to attend healthcare camps, medical screenings, and mobile healthcare van services.
• Coordinate with local community leaders, housing societies, NGOs, and volunteers.
• Identify suitable locations and communities for organising healthcare camps.
• Support field teams during healthcare camps and community outreach activities.
• Maintain basic daily records of visits, pamphlets distributed, community interactions, and mobilisation activities.
• Achieve daily outreach and mobilisation targets.
• Travel regularly across assigned areas in Pune.

Qualifications & Skills

• BSW (Bachelor of Social Work) preferred; candidates with relevant community outreach experience may also apply.
• Good communication skills in Marathi and Hindi; basic English preferred.
• Comfortable walking, travelling, and spending most of the working day outdoors.
• Confident in approaching and communicating with people.
• Self-motivated, disciplined, punctual, and willing to work towards daily targets.
• Basic smartphone and WhatsApp reporting skills.
• Own two-wheeler preferred.

Nature of Work

• 100% on-ground fieldwork.
• Extensive daily movement across different localities.
• Door-to-door awareness, pamphlet distribution, and direct community mobilisation.
• No work-from-home or office-based arrangement.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
