What they need

Community Physiotherapist (Chichester, Havant & Hayling Island), South Coast Home Physiotherapy

About Us

South Coast Home Physiotherapy is a private, home-visiting physiotherapy service. Our physiotherapists treat people in their own homes and in care homes across Hampshire and south Wiltshire. We launched in 2025 and have grown quickly to a team of five physiotherapists. We’re now creating a full-time, permanent post to lead a dedicated caseload around Chichester, Havant, Emsworth and Hayling Island.

What sets us apart:

  • Every appointment is a full hour. No 30-minute slots, no back-to-back clinic list.
  • Each patient sees the same physiotherapist every visit, so you build real relationships and see the results of your work.
  • A friendly, supportive clinical team, with clinical excellence and long-term outcomes ahead of volume.

The Opportunity

  • A permanent, full-time role within our Chichester, Havant, Emsworth and Hayling Island caseload
  • Your caseload is concentrated around Chichester, Havant, Emsworth and Hayling Island, so travel between visits stays short and your day stays focused
  • Deliver high-quality physiotherapy in people’s own homes and care homes
  • Work with a varied caseload: older adults, post-operative rehab, neurological conditions, reduced mobility and recovery after a hospital stay
  • Enjoy genuine autonomy while being part of a supportive team

You’ll be working across:

  • Patients’ homes
  • Residential and nursing homes
  • Community settings
  • Potentially hydrotherapy, as we develop the service

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assessing and treating patients in their own environment
  • Creating clear, structured rehab plans that patients understand and follow
  • Supporting mobility, strength, independence and confidence
  • Working with families, carers and other healthcare professionals
  • Liaising with GPs, care teams and discharge services where needed
  • Managing your own diary and travel
  • Keeping accurate, timely and professional clinical records

Areas of Focus

  • Older adults and frailty: falls prevention, mobility, strength and balance
  • Post-operative rehabilitation: joint replacements and fracture recovery
  • Neurological physiotherapy: stroke, Parkinson’s, MS and other long-term conditions

Who This Role Is Perfect For

You’re a physiotherapist who:

  • Has at least 2 years’ experience since qualifying
  • Is happy to spend your working day around Chichester, Havant, Emsworth and Hayling Island
  • Is confident working on your own, making clinical decisions and managing your day, with a supportive team at the end of the phone
  • Wants time to treat patients properly and see them progress

Essential Requirements

  • BSc / MSc in Physiotherapy
  • HCPC registered
  • CSP member
  • At least 2 years’ post-qualification experience
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Access to your own vehicle

Desirable Experience

  • Community, domiciliary or care home experience
  • Supporting patients moving from hospital to home
  • Liaising with discharge teams and GPs
  • Falls prevention and rehab for older adults
  • Neurological rehabilitation
  • Hydrotherapy

What You’ll Get

  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • 23 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Workplace pension
  • Mileage / travel reimbursement
  • Full one-hour appointments and a manageable caseload
  • Visits grouped together to keep travel down
  • Ongoing support, mentoring and CPD contributions
  • A friendly, supportive team

If you want a role where you have the time to do physiotherapy properly, we’d love to hear from you.

Please note: this role has some non-negotiable requirements. Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle for work, as this is a community-based position. Current HCPC registration is required. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship, now or in the future. We are unable to offer visa sponsorship or relocation support for this role.
