Community Planner

The Community Planner will support the delivery of strategic community outcomes within a progressive regional council.

Working across a diverse portfolio, you will lead community planning initiatives, contribute to strategic projects, and work closely with internal stakeholders, community groups, service providers, and government agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement community planning strategies, plans, and policies.
• Lead community engagement and consultation activities.
• Analyse demographic, social, and community data to inform decision-making.
• Coordinate projects that enhance community wellbeing, inclusion, and liveability.
• Prepare reports, funding applications, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership and Council.

Ideal Background:

• Experience in community planning, social planning, strategic planning, or community development within local government or the public sector.
