Community Program Coordinator

Join our small team at United Cerebral Palsy of San Luis Obispo County (UCP+ of SLO) in our mission to positively affect the quality of life for children and adults with developmental disabilities. UCP is committed to creating opportunities for full participation in our SLO Community. This position plays a pivotal role in UCP+ of SLO by contacting our members to set up outings in the community with support staff. Office hours are Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 1 pm-4 pm. Requires 2 weekends a month for 3-4 hour event (usually Saturdays)

Responsibilities:
-Organize, plan, and communicate local activity details for adults with developmental disablilities.

• Assist with setting up transportation and assigning volunteers or staff to support the members in the community

-Record member progress during the outing in our database

• Assist with fundraising activities and provide UCP information over the phone

Requirements:

• Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Previous experience in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to upsell products and services effectively
• Ability to follow directions and slef-supervise
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

As the UCP Members Service Coordinator, you will be part of a team working to give access to adults with disabilities as they become more independent. You will have afternoon hours in the office during the week and flexibility to schedule weekend activities. Apply today!
