Position Summary

Sunshine Community Health Center (SCHC) is seeking a Community Relations Coordinator to support our marketing, communications, and community outreach efforts. Working closely with the Community Relations Manager, this position helps bring SCHC's message to life through social media, promotional materials, community events, partnerships, and other outreach initiatives.

This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who is organized, creative, adaptable, and comfortable working with people across the organization and throughout the communities we serve.

What You'll Do

• Assist with marketing campaigns and community outreach efforts.
• Create, schedule, and monitor content across social media and other communication platforms.
• Help develop newsletters, flyers, promotional materials, and other communications.
• Track engagement and assist with evaluating outreach efforts.
• Coordinate and participate in community events, sponsorships, and partnerships.
• Work with internal teams to ensure communications align with SCHC's mission and organizational standards.
• Support initiatives focused on patient experience, satisfaction, retention, and community connection.
• Maintain marketing materials, promotional supplies, and communications resources.
• Assist with website development and enhancement projects.
• Provide flexible support for other organizational needs as they arise.

Required Qualifications

• At least two years of related work experience, such as experience in a medical office or similar setting with demonstrated relevant training.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing organizational needs.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow applicable policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with social media platforms and content creation.
• Experience with basic graphic design or marketing tools.
• Experience supporting community outreach, marketing, communications, or patient experience initiatives.
• Related training or certification in communications, marketing, graphic design, public relations, or community outreach.

Work Environment & Travel

This position generally works in a healthcare clinic or office environment and regularly interacts with employees, patients, community partners, vendors, and members of the public. Travel between SCHC worksites may be required, and occasional out-of-area travel may also be necessary.

General:

To ensure the health of our community, patients, and staff, SCHC requires proof of completed vaccine series or serologic test results for MMR (Measles, Mumps, and Rubella), Varicella (Chicken Pox), Tdap and Hepatitis B, as well as TB screening, prior to employment.
