What they need
Community Relations Director
Vineyard Park Senior Living | Arizona
Build relationships. Help families. Grow a community.
Vineyard Park Senior Living is seeking an energetic, relationship-driven Community Relations Director (CRD) to lead sales, outreach, and business development for our senior living community.
While the title is Community Relations Director, sales is the core function of this position. The CRD is responsible for developing qualified leads, building strong referral relationships, guiding prospective residents and families through the decision-making process, securing residency commitments, and ultimately driving occupancy.
This is not a sit-behind-the-desk sales role.
Our CRDs are expected to be visible in the market—meeting with prospective residents and families, developing professional referral relationships, attending networking opportunities, generating new leads, and creating new sources of business.
If you love people, enjoy the challenge of sales, and get excited about turning relationships into results, we want to meet you.
What You'll Do
Sales & Relationship Development
- Own the sales process from initial inquiry through residency commitment and move-in.
- Conduct in-person sales meetings with prospective residents, families, decision-makers, and referral partners both inside and outside the community.
- Build and maintain strong referral relationships with hospitals, physicians, rehabilitation and skilled nursing centers, discharge planners, social workers, case managers, home health and hospice providers, senior organizations, placement professionals, and other community partners.
- Generate leads through networking events, health fairs, professional organizations, community events, grassroots outreach, and other business-development activities.
- Conduct engaging community tours that connect the needs and priorities of prospective residents and families with the services and lifestyle offered by Vineyard Park.
- Present residency, service, and pricing options and confidently ask for the commitment.
- Discuss available pricing and residency options within established company guidelines.
- Develop individualized sales strategies and exercise sound judgment to move prospects through the sales process.
- Maintain timely, purposeful, and persistent follow-up with prospective residents, families, and referral partners.
- Identify barriers to move-in and work creatively and collaboratively to help families move forward.
Pipeline & Sales Management
- Maintain an active, organized sales pipeline and take ownership of community occupancy goals.
- Respond promptly to new inquiries and referrals and maintain consistent follow-up throughout the sales journey.
- Enter leads, contacts, activities, and prospect information into the designated CRM accurately and promptly.
- Maintain accurate documentation of prospect interactions, referral relationships, follow-up activities, and sales progress.
- Prepare and coordinate documentation associated with residency agreements.
- Partner with appropriate team members regarding pricing, payment arrangements, and financial considerations when necessary to finalize residency agreements.
- Monitor competitors, local market conditions, referral trends, and opportunities for new business.
- Track mileage and business expenses in accordance with company policy.
Community Partnership
- Partner closely with the Executive Director to develop and achieve community occupancy and sales goals.
- Collaborate with clinical, admissions, operations, and community leadership to create a smooth transition from prospect to resident.
- Maintain relationships with residents and families after move-in and help create advocates for the community.
- Represent Vineyard Park professionally and positively throughout the local market.
Who We're Looking For
Our ideal Community Relations Director brings heart, energy, discipline, and a strong sales mindset to the role.
You are someone who:
- Loves building relationships and developing new business.
- Is comfortable initiating conversations and creating opportunities rather than waiting for the phone to ring.
- Can connect with families navigating emotional and sometimes complex senior living decisions.
- Is confident asking for the sale and working toward measurable occupancy and revenue goals.
- Is highly organized and disciplined about follow-up.
- Understands that successful senior living sales happens both inside the community and out in the market.
- Is comfortable working independently and exercising judgment in developing sales strategies.
- Communicates professionally and effectively in person, by telephone, electronically, and in writing.
- Is comfortable using CRM technology and maintaining accurate sales documentation.
- Works collaboratively and understands that every successful move-in is a team effort.
- Is competitive, resilient, resourceful, and motivated by results.
Salary range:
Senior living sales experience is highly valued. We also welcome accomplished relationship-based sales professionals from healthcare, hospitality, home health, hospice, real estate, or other industries where trust, follow-through, sales, and business development are essential.
