Western Maine Community Action is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Services Specialist to join our Housing and Energy team. This position plays a vital role in helping individuals and families access heating and energy assistance programs, including the Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP/LIHEAP), while connecting households to additional services and resources that promote stability and self-sufficiency.

What You'll Do

• Assist households with HEAP/LIHEAP and other available energy assistance programs.
• Work collaboratively with a supportive team dedicated to helping Maine families.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in customer service, community services, social services, administrative support, or a related field preferred.
• Strong computer, organizational, and communication skills.

Work Location

This position currently operates primarily in a remote work environment, with most applications completed by phone and online. Periodic in-person meetings, trainings, and activities at WMCA locations may be required.
