Community Support Worker

About the Role:

You will value the connections you form with your clients, making a real and meaningful difference in their lives by giving them freedom of choice and assisting them to maintain independence within their community.

This role will be offered on a casual basis.  You will be required to work a range of shifts that may include early mornings, late afternoons and/or weekends.   You must also possess a valid Drivers Licence, have your own vehicle (or access to a vehicle) that is covered by comprehensive insurance.  Please include your availability to work as part of your application.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting the individual care plan needs of residents with a range of activities including domestic duties, personal care, and transport.

• Administration of medication.

• Complying with Work, Health and Safety requirements, performance standards and Customer Service Quality standards.

Key Role Requirements:

• Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support/Ageing.

• Working rights within Australia.

• National Police Clearance.

• Current Influenza Statement (highly desirable).

• Current First Aid Certificate.

• Highly developed presentation skills, interpersonal and written communication skills.

• Effective organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.

• Ability to operate in a team environment.
