  • Act as the primary point of contact for COMOS engineering support, assisting engineers when they are unsure how to perform tasks or apply COMOS correctly
  • Troubleshoot user issues, provide guidance, and propose practical solutions consistent with Lummus standards
  • Document development practices, configuration standards, engineering workflows, and common issues to ensure knowledge transfer and long‑term maintainability
  • Collaborate closely with QA and engineering users to validate solutions and ensure quality before release

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of COMOS FEED configuration and how it is used as an engineering design tool
  • Solid knowledge of COMOS data structures and how engineering data is modeled and maintained
  • Experience writing complex automation scripts (VBScript required, additional languages a plus)
  • Experience working with Azure DevOps, including converting engineering requests into user stories
  • Ability to analyze engineering requests and determine practical technical solutions
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and ability to work directly with engineers, QA, and developers
  • Attention to detail, particularly in configuration work (e.g., symbols, tagging, reports)
  • Working knowledge of PFD, P&ID, and EC&I design concepts
  • AutoCAD experience is beneficial
  • Understanding of APIs, Power Automate, Power BI, and HTML5 is a plus
