Company Accountant

About the Business

FSP OZ Products Pty Ltd is a leading and growing polyethylene manufacturer with four branches across Australia. We supply high-quality, durable products to a diverse customer base locally and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including bank, balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations.
• Manage inventory accounting, stock valuation and inventory reconciliations.
• Work closely with warehouse and operations teams to improve inventory accuracy and stock control procedures.
• Prepare and review BAS, IAS, GST and other statutory reporting requirements.
• Process payroll, superannuation and applicable payroll tax obligations.
• Monitor cash flow, supplier payments and financial transactions.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning and financial analysis.
• Liaise with external accountants, auditors, banks and relevant authorities.
• Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards, taxation requirements and internal controls.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to the Director to support business decision-making.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, internal controls and operational efficiency.

About You

• CPA or CA qualification, or currently working towards either qualification, is preferred.
• Practical experience in inventory accounting, stock reconciliation and stocktake processes is essential.
• Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of the accounting function.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with management and colleagues
• Mandarin or Cantonese language skills are highly regarded.
• Previous experience in a commercial business environment is required, with manufacturing industry experience highly preferred.
• Must have full Australian working rights.
