Company Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating our linen truck to deliver and pick up linens efficiently across designated routes. Your expertise in commercial driving, vehicle operation, and load handling will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties:

• Load and unload linens using appropriate equipment and techniques, ensuring secure handling during transit.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
• Drive in compliance with all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations to ensure safe delivery of goods or waste removal.
• Assist with mechanical troubleshooting or minor repairs when necessary, leveraging mechanical knowledge to maintain vehicle performance.
• Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules while minimizing fuel consumption and travel time.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle inspections in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Does not need a CDL for this position.

Requirements

• Must have valid drivers license.
• Must be able to pass a DOT medical exam.
• Proven experience in commercial driving, including delivery driver roles involving heavy lifting and load handling.
• Strong mechanical knowledge for basic troubleshooting and vehicle maintenance awareness.
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly during loading and unloading processes.
• Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record adhering to safety standards.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
