Company Driver

About the role

LEC Steel Manufacturing Corp. is seeking a reliable and professional Company Driver to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is pivotal to our operations, ensuring the safe and timely transportation of personnel, materials, and goods across the Quezon City Metro Manila region. As a Company Driver, you will be responsible for maintaining vehicle safety standards, adhering to traffic regulations, and representing our company with professionalism and integrity at all times. This position plays a crucial role in supporting our manufacturing and logistics operations, enabling seamless business continuity and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently, transporting personnel, materials, and goods to designated locations within Quezon City Metro Manila and surrounding areas
• Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, vehicle maintenance schedules, and delivery logs
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure all safety equipment is functioning properly and report any mechanical issues immediately
• Adhere to all traffic laws, speed limits, and road safety regulations to ensure the safety of passengers and cargo
• Load and unload cargo with care, ensuring items are properly secured and protected during transport
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the company vehicle at all times
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and dispatchers regarding route changes, delays, or unforeseen circumstances
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks including checking oil levels, tire pressure, fluid levels, and windscreen wipers
• Represent the company professionally, maintaining a courteous demeanor with all clients and stakeholders

What we're looking for

• Valid Professional Driver's License (PDL) with a clean driving record and no serious traffic violations
• Minimum of 1 year of professional driving experience in a commercial or corporate environment
• Strong knowledge of Quezon City Metro Manila road networks and local traffic conditions
• Excellent vehicle operation and maintenance skills with a commitment to road safety
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet strict delivery schedules and deadlines
• Physical fitness to handle loading and unloading of goods and materials safely
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with team members
• Reliability and punctuality with a strong sense of responsibility
• Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning software
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and basic troubleshooting capabilities
• Preferably, experience with transporting manufacturing materials or goods in an industrial setting
