Duties

• Safely operate across OTR routes,, , adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
• Plan routes efficiently using GPS navigation tools to optimize delivery times and fuel consumption.
• Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring proper cargo securement for general freight when applicable.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and inspection reports in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery schedules, or unforeseen issues during transit.

Skills

• Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on route driving and delivery driving.
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for dangerous goods.
• Skilled in operating 26ft box trucks.
• Proficient in GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time navigation adjustments.
• Ability to load & unload freight efficiently while following safety procedures for truck loading and unloading. (normally all loads are no touch)
• Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling.
• Excellent driving record with experience in over-the-road (OTR) driving routes involving long-distance travel across multiple states or regions.

Pay: $1,000.00 - $1,500.00 per week
