Overview
As an OTR (Over-the-Road) Class A Step Deck Truck Driver, you will be the backbone of our freight operations, transporting goods efficiently and safely across long distances. Your role involves handling specialized trailers, managing freight loads, and ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties

• Operate Class A tractor-trailer trucks with a focus on step deck (drop deck) trailers for versatile freight transportation
• Drive across long routes, adhering to all federal and state transportation regulations
• Load, secure, and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or manual methods when necessary
• Manage various types of cargo including refrigerated items, flatbed loads, tankers, or freight requiring specialized handling
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
• Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel usage and minimizing delays
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries

Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record
• Proven experience in truck driving, especially with tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or refrigerated trailers
• Skilled in manual transmission operation and familiar with route driving logistics
• Ability to load & unload freight safely using equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks when applicable
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to freight handling and vehicle operation
• Experience with delivery driver responsibilities including route planning and customer service
• Physical ability to perform duties that may involve lifting heavy loads or working in varying weather conditions
• Tanker Endorsement
• TWIC Card

Pay: $38.00 - $42.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50.0 – 65.0 per week
