Important Note
This is not a traditional Compensation Analyst role. We are specifically seeking an individual with strong experience leveraging AI tools and technologies to enhance Reward and People Analytics processes.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of identifying opportunities for automation, building AI-enabled solutions, and embedding AI into day-to-day workflows to improve efficiency, analytical capability and decision-making. This role requires someone who is comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy, experimenting with new technologies, and driving innovation within the Reward function.
About the Company & Role
Our client is a highly respected financial services organisation known for attracting exceptional talent and fostering a culture of innovation, performance and continuous improvement.
Operating within a fast-paced, highly analytical and data-driven environment, the organisation is investing heavily in modernising its Reward capabilities through automation, advanced analytics and AI-powered solutions. As a result, they are seeking a Compensation Analyst to join their London-based Reward team.
This position offers a unique opportunity to combine deep compensation expertise with cutting-edge technology. Alongside managing core compensation activities, the successful candidate will play a key role in transforming how reward data is analysed, modelled and delivered by embedding AI and automation into everyday processes.
The individual will act as a subject matter expert for both compensation analytics and AI-enabled process improvement, helping the business leverage technology to make faster, smarter and more informed reward decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead annual bonus and incentive modelling processes, utilising advanced analytics and AI-driven approaches to improve forecasting accuracy and decision-making.
- Design, build and continuously enhance AI-enabled tools that automate repetitive Reward processes, reduce manual effort and increase operational efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to integrate AI into existing compensation, benchmarking, reporting and governance workflows.
- Develop innovative solutions using AI platforms, automation tools and prompt-engineering techniques to streamline Reward activities and improve insights.
- Build and maintain sophisticated compensation dashboards, models and analytics that support senior leadership decision-making.
- Produce market intelligence and remuneration benchmarking analysis, leveraging AI where appropriate to accelerate research and enhance insight generation.
- Partner with HR, Finance and business leaders to provide commercially focused reward recommendations supported by robust quantitative analysis.
- Support the governance and administration of deferred compensation and long-term incentive programmes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the Reward function, challenging existing processes and introducing technology-led solutions.
- Act as an internal champion for AI innovation, helping to identify emerging technologies and practical use cases across Reward and People Analytics.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrable experience leveraging AI tools to improve business processes, automate workflows and enhance analytical output.
- Experience building, configuring or deploying AI-enabled solutions independently, rather than simply using off-the-shelf tools.
- Strong understanding of how AI can be applied within Reward, Compensation, HR Analytics or broader business processes.
- Advanced Excel, data modelling and analytics capabilities, with experience handling complex and large-scale datasets.
- Exposure to Power BI, Python, SQL, Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude or similar AI and analytics technologies would be highly advantageous.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to convert data and insights into actionable recommendations.
- Naturally curious, innovative and technology-focused, with a passion for exploring new ways of improving efficiency and effectiveness.
