Compensation Specialist

Role Description The Compensation Specialist at Gestión del Talento Humano will work part time in a remote capacity, supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of competitive and equitable compensation programs. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing market data, supporting compensation planning cycles, and reviewing job evaluations to ensure internal consistency and external competitiveness. The role involves developing and updating compensation structures, preparing reports and dashboards, and providing guidance to HR and business partners on pay decisions and policies. The Compensation Specialist will also help maintain compensation documentation, support audits and compliance efforts, and collaborate on process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Compensation Planning and Compensation Management to support pay program design and administration.
• Candidates should possess experience in Job Evaluation and Compensation Structures to ensure consistent and fair role alignment and salary ranges.
• Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify trends, and develop data-driven compensation recommendations.
• Candidates should possess proficiency with spreadsheets and HR/compensation tools (e.g., Excel, HRIS, compensation platforms) and strong attention to detail.
• Candidates should possess effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain complex compensation concepts to non-specialists.
• Candidates should possess the ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines reliably.
• Relevant education in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; professional certification in compensation or HR is an advantage.
• Experience with market benchmarking, salary surveys, and compensation compliance practices is highly beneficial.
