Competent Chargeman (A0)

We are seeking a certified and dedicated A0 Chargeman to join our facility in Ulu Tiram. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low-voltage (LV) electrical installations and switchboards, ensuring full compliance with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission) regulations and plant safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Electrical Operations & Maintenance: Operate, monitor, and maintain low-voltage (LV) electrical systems, switchboards, transformers, and wiring installations in accordance with statutory requirements.
• Troubleshooting & Repairs: Perform routine checks, diagnose electrical faults, and carry out preventive or corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure all electrical works adhere strictly to the Electricity Supply Act, local regulations, OHS standards, and internal safety protocols.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate logs of electrical readings, maintenance activities, and equipment servicing reports, coordinating with contractors and authorities as required.

Job Requirements

• Valid Competent Chargeman A0 certificate issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission).
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance, preferably within a manufacturing, industrial, or commercial facility setting.
• Good working knowledge of low-voltage switchboards, safety procedures, and local electrical codes.
• Independent, safety-conscious, and able to work well in a team environment.
