Work on the cutting edge of AI coding evaluation, on your own schedule, and get paid for the problem-solving skills you already have.
The AI systems everyone is talking about are trained and tested by real competitive programmers. The teams building them need people who can work through difficult coding challenges, check whether a solution meets its requirements, produce a correct and reproducible result, and explain where an approach breaks down. Your judgment helps shape how the next generation of AI models handles technical problems. This is that work, done remotely, around your current job.
What you'll do

Solve self-contained coding challenges with clear objectives

Work in codebases you have not seen before or at the terminal, choosing an approach that fits the problem

Implement solutions from stated requirements, selecting appropriate algorithms and data structures

Check solutions against edge cases and correctness requirements, then provide results others can reproduce

Why this is worth your time

Get paid $60–$120 an hour to build real AI skills, on top of your current job

Work directly with frontier AI coding tools and see how they are built, tested and improved, experience most competitive programmers will not have for years

Build a career edge for what comes next: AI is reshaping competitive programming and software engineering, and the people who understand it from the inside will lead that change

Fully remote, fully flexible, no minimum shift, no commute

Who this is for

Fluent in English

Reason carefully through constraints, complexity, edge cases, and correctness, backed by a strong understanding of standard data structures and algorithms

Practical Python or C++ coding skills, supported by a Codeforces profile that is public or otherwise verifiable

No AI experience needed. You bring the expertise; we bring the training on the tools.

Pay and details

$60–$120 per hour equivalent; pay is per accepted task, as an independent contractor

About 15 hours a week, you choose when; fully remote, United States

How to apply

Apply on OpenTrain (about two minutes; upload your resume).

Complete a short application on the hiring platform.

If shortlisted, take a conversational AI interview with technical questions and a coding challenge, whenever it suits you. Most people hear back within days.
