North London Hospice

We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Complementary Therapist to join our Inpatient Unit team at North London Hospice.
Working closely with the Physiotherapy Lead and wider multidisciplinary team, you will provide safe, person-centred complementary therapy interventions that enhance comfort, wellbeing and quality of life for patients receiving palliative and end of life care. You will assess individual needs, adapt treatments appropriately, and ensure patients receive holistic support that respects their personal preferences, dignity and clinical circumstances.
Key responsibilities include undertaking holistic assessments, delivering complementary therapy treatments, maintaining accurate patient records, communicating sensitively with patients and families, and contributing to holistic care planning alongside colleagues across the Hospice. You will also help maintain a safe, welcoming and therapeutic environment, support service development initiatives, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of complementary therapy provision within the Inpatient Unit.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified complementary therapist with a passion for palliative care. We are looking for someone who can work independently, build positive relationships with patients and colleagues, and provide compassionate support that makes a meaningful difference during a patient's hospice journey.
At North London Hospice, we’ve been caring for our community with compassion, dignity and respect since 1984. We empower people living with life limiting illnesses, supporting them to achieve the best quality of life possible.
As a registered charity, our mission is to provide the best of life, at the end of life, for everyone. From our Inpatient Unit in Woodside Avenue to our extensive work across the London boroughs of Barnet, Enfield and Haringey, our care reaches throughout the local community. Our teams provide specialist palliative support through Living Well services, Community Specialist Palliative Care, and dedicated Patient and Family care that offers emotional, practical, and holistic support to those who need us most.
Joining our passionate clinical team means becoming part of a supportive, respectful, and collaborative service committed to delivering exceptional, person centred care in a truly meaningful role. If you’re driven by compassion, value holistic and individualised care, and bring palliative care experience – or are ready for a fulfilling new challenge – we would love to hear from you.
