Daytime and Evening Shifts

Cura Vita Complex Care Group is looking for experienced, compassionate and reliable Complex Care Support Workers to join a dedicated care team supporting a young adult with complex physical care needs in their own home in Acle, Norfolk.

This is a rewarding opportunity to provide consistent, person-centred support, helping someone maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life.

We're particularly interested in candidates with experience supporting people with physical disabilities, wheelchair-related care needs, bowel care or pressure area management.

Previous specialist experience would be an advantage, but we're also interested in experienced care professionals who are willing to undertake the required training and competency assessments.

About the Role

You'll provide practical, respectful and person-centred support in a home environment.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting daily living activities, personal care and independence
• Providing safe and compassionate support to someone with complex physical needs
• Supporting bowel care in accordance with individual care plans and assessed competencies
• Assisting with wheelchair-related support, mobility and positioning
• Supporting pressure area care and skin integrity monitoring
• Following moving and handling guidance and individual risk assessments
• Recognising changes in health or wellbeing and escalating concerns appropriately
• Maintaining accurate care records and providing clear handovers
• Working collaboratively with colleagues and the wider care team
• Building a positive, professional and consistent working relationship with the person you support

Working Hours

We have opportunities for regular shifts in Acle.

Current shift patterns include:

• Monday to Friday: 8:00am–2:00pm
• Thursday evening: 6:00pm–9:00pm
• Additional overnight support may be available, subject to rota requirements

We're particularly interested in candidates who can provide consistent weekday availability.

About You

We're looking for people who have:

• Previous professional experience in care or support work
• A compassionate, calm and reliable approach
• Confidence supporting adults with physical disabilities or complex care needs
• Good communication skills and the ability to maintain professional boundaries
• A respectful and person-centred approach to personal care
• The ability to follow detailed care plans, risk assessments and guidance
• A willingness to complete specialist training and competency assessments
• Reliable arrangements to travel to Acle for shifts

You don't need experience in every area to apply. However, previous complex care or physical disability experience would be particularly valuable.

All specialist interventions must only be undertaken following appropriate training, competency assessment and authorisation.
