Support Worker – MMAB Home Care

At MMAB Home Care, we are looking for compassionate, reliable Support Workers to support children and adults with complex needs, learning disabilities, autism and mental health conditions in their own homes and communities.

You will help people build confidence, maintain their independence and enjoy everyday life, providing support that respects their choices, dignity and individual needs.

Please note: we do not currently offer sponsorship.

Your role

Every person we support is different. Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing personalised support with daily routines, personal care and practical tasks, according to each person’s care plan.
• Helping people develop life skills and access activities, appointments and their local community.
• Offering emotional support, reassurance and encouragement.
• Supporting communication so that each person’s views, wishes and choices are heard.
• Using agreed approaches to help people manage distress and maintain their safety.
• Following care plans and risk assessments, reporting changes in needs or wellbeing promptly.
• Keeping accurate, timely records of the support provided.
• Working closely with colleagues, families and other professionals to provide consistent care.
• Recognising and reporting safeguarding concerns in line with company procedures.

About you

We are looking for someone who is:

• Caring, patient and respectful, with a commitment to helping others.
• Reliable, organised and able to use initiative while following agreed care plans.
• A clear communicator who can build positive, trusting relationships.
• Comfortable using basic IT systems for record keeping and communication.
• Willing to learn, complete training and develop their skills.

Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health conditions or complex needs is desirable. We also welcome applications from people with the right values and a willingness to learn.

A valid driving licence is essential for roles involving the transportation of clients.

Pay: £13.30-£14.00 per hour
