Compliance Analyst

WORK LOCATION: This is an in-office position based in our Downtown Los Angeles, CA office. Employees are expected to work on-site during regular business hours.

JOB SUMMARY

Assisting the Compliance Officer in administering, maintaining, and enhancing the Bank’s Compliance Risk Management Program.

DUTIES

• Requires a working knowledge of Regulation B ECOA (notification requirements), Regulation X RESPA, and Regulation ZTILA (Loan Estimate and Closing Disclosure accuracy), and Regulation C HMDA (LAR accuracy reviews).
• Assists Compliance Officer to coordinate / prepare reports / logs for the quarterly Management Compliance Committee (MCC) meeting.
• Assists the Risk and Compliance Manager for the Risk Assessment relatedto Vendor and Enterprise Risk Management.
• Monitors, tracks and reviews the monthly/quarterly/semi-annually/annually compliance certification from branches and business units, to ensure the compliance certifications are completed with validated information, report to supervisor any deficiency from compliance certification.
• Represents Compliance in projects related to new products / changes to existing products.
• Performs compliance monitoring review by collecting, conducting, analyzing and summarizing information such as flood insurance tickler log, fair credit reporting, and other deposit and lending compliance regulations.
• Assists in the update, development and implementation of the compliance procedures, desktop procedures, and forms for compliance regulation review.
• Completes department administrative duties.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Compliance Officer.
• Continually seeks to improve Compliance operations by ensuring all tasks are efficient and provide value to the Bank through the elimination of tasks that are not needed or required by law or through automation.

QUALIFICATIONS

• EDUCATION : Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2 years of experience in banking compliance including monitoring and reviewing primarily lending-related regulations.

SKILLS/ABILITIES

• PExcellent analytical, research, project management, and planning skills;
• PC proficient;
• Organized and detail-oriented;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of banking compliance programs.
