Compliance & Inventory Controller

About the role

Inglis Packers is looking for a highly organised and detail-focused Compliance & Inventory Controller to join our team in Motueka. This is a varied role combining compliance, documentation, record keeping and coolstore administration. You will take ownership of the systems and records that support our Zespri, food safety and regulatory requirements, while also managing the administration and inventory records that keep fruit accurately tracked from coolstore through to dispatch.

Key responsibilities

Compliance & Documentation:

• Maintain compliance records and documentation for Zespri, GlobalG.A.P., SQF, food safety and other regulatory requirements along with compliance calendar, audits, renewals and submissions.
• Prepare documentation and coordinate internal and external audits, corrective actions and tracability through to completion.
• Develop, maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures.
• Manage document control, ensuring current procedures and records are available and up to date.

Coolstore & Inventory Administration:

• Maintain accurate records of fruit held in the coolstore, including location and status.
• Process fruit orders, record fruit movements, and complete dispatch and consignment paperwork from allocation through to dispatch.
• Reconcile coolstore records against dispatch information and Zespri submissions.
• Provide accurate records and reports to management as required.

About you

• Highly organised, confident written communicator, systematic and very detail focused.
• Able to work independently, manage deadlines and take ownership of your workload.
• Experienced in administration, record keeping, compliance or document control, with confidence in using computer systems.
• Experienced in horticulture, food production or familiar with Zespri, GlobalG.A.P., SQF, food safety or quality systems (advantageous).
• Experienced with FreshCool or similar coolstore inventory systems (advantageous).

What we offer

This is a part-time position, with scope to increase hours during busy harvest and audit periods.

You will work closely with our management group, with ownership of the compliance, documentation and coolstore administration systems within your area.

Training will be provided in Zespri/GlobalG.A.P, SQF, compliance, internal auditing, food safety, document control, FreshCool and Health & Safety systems.
