Our elite US law firm client is seeking an ambitious Compliance Assistant with a genuine passion for building a career within legal compliance. This opportunity will play a key role in supporting the firm in meeting its obligations under anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (AML/CTF) regulations and other economic crime legislation.

• Salary to £45,000
• 09:30-17:30 working hours

Compliance Assistant – What You’ll Be Doing:

• Maintain knowledge of the Firm’s AML/CTF policies, controls and procedures
• Support client due diligence (CDD) investigations and ongoing monitoring
• Conduct PEP, adverse media and sanctions screening, escalating red flags as appropriate
• Maintain and update CDD records
• Advise lawyers and assistants on AML compliance requirements
• Support the Compliance Unit intranet and internal audits, investigations and compliance reporting
• Provide general day-to-day support to the Compliance Team

Compliance Assistant – What We’re Looking For:

• 1-2 years’ experience in a similar compliance role, ideally within a law firm
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft 365
• An interest in using technology to enhance business processes
