Compliance Associate, Hedge Fund

Summary

A well-known Hedge Fund is now seeking a Compliance Officer to join their compliance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong compliance background within the asset management, hedge fund, or alternative investment industry, with exposure to equity compliance and regulatory reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily compliance monitoring and surveillance activities.
• Handle short selling regulatory reporting and ensure timely regulatory submissions.
• Manage significant shareholding disclosures and reporting obligations across relevant jurisdictions.
• Conduct compliance reviews and monitoring to ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the implementation and ongoing maintenance of AML/KYC/CTF frameworks and procedures.
• Maintain compliance records, registers, and documentation.
• Assist in updating and enhancing compliance policies, procedures, manuals, and internal controls.
• Support regulatory inquiries, audits, and compliance projects as required.
• Provide compliance guidance to internal stakeholders on regulatory and control matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related discipline.

• Require 3-6+ years of compliance experience, preferably gained within Hedge fund/Asset management firms/Alternative investment managers.

• Experience in equity compliance is highly preferred.

• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Team player with a high level of integrity and professionalism.

• Fluent in English is a must.
