Compliance Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. BIS Compliance: Manage certification, renewal, document uploads, and audits under BIS.

2. BEE Compliance: Ensure energy efficiency certifications, label management, and document submissions for applicable products.

3. RoHS Compliance: Monitor and maintain compliance with hazardous substance restrictions and material declarations.

4. EPR Compliance: Manage documentation and coordination with PRO/authorized recyclers for EPR waste disposal and reporting.

5. Audit Management: Plan, prepare, and coordinate BIS/BEE/EPR and internal audits; ensure timely closure of non conformities.

6. Documentation Control: Maintain compliance documentation, licenses, and test reports; ensure all renewals are tracked and completed before due dates.

7. Cross-functional Coordination: Work with EHS, Quality, Production, Purchase and Design Quality teams to ensure compliance implementation.

8. Awareness & Training: Conduct compliance awareness sessions across plants.

9. Reporting: Prepare monthly and quarterly compliance status reports for management

10. Continuous Improvement: Identify process gaps, propose improvements, and ensure standardization of compliance processes.

QUALIFICATION, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE:

Qualification & Skills: B.Tech / Diploma in Engineering (Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical preferred)

Other Preferred Skills:

1. Strong knowledge of BIS, BEE, RoHS, and EPR compliance requirements.

2. Experience in handling audits, documentation, and government liaison.

3. Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 systems.

4. Excellent communication and documentation skills.

5. Proficiency in MS Office and BIS/BEE online portals.

Experience: 6-8 years of experience in handling product compliance, certification audits Experience (BIS/BEE/EPR), and plant coordination.
