Fintech Cloud is looking for an experienced Head – Compliance to lead and oversee the company’s regulatory compliance framework across its fintech and digital lending operations.

We are specifically looking for a hands-on compliance professional with prior experience in an NBFC, Bank, Fintech or Digital Lending business. This is a strategic and operational role requiring strong understanding of the RBI regulatory framework, lending practices, partner NBFC/Banks and regulatory risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the overall compliance function and ensure adherence to applicable RBI regulations, laws, guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Develop, implement and monitor a robust compliance framework across business operations.
• Advise senior management on regulatory requirements, compliance risks and emerging regulatory developments.
• Ensure compliance with RBI Digital Lending Guidelines, LSP/NBFC arrangements, outsourcing guidelines, KYC/AML requirements and other applicable regulations.
• Monitor compliance across lending, collections, recovery, customer communication, grievance redressal and borrower-facing processes.
• Work closely with partner NBFCs/Banks to ensure regulatory and contractual compliance across business operations.
• Manage regulatory inspections, audits, compliance reviews, notices and queries from RBI and other applicable authorities.
• Establish and monitor compliance calendars, regulatory reporting, certifications, controls and periodic compliance reviews.
• Develop effective SOPs, policies, controls and escalation mechanisms to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
• Review business processes and new products/features from a regulatory and compliance perspective before implementation.
• Coordinate with Legal, Risk, Operations, Product, Technology and senior management teams on compliance-related matters.
• Identify regulatory gaps and drive timely corrective and preventive actions.
• Track regulatory developments and assess their impact on the company’s products, processes and partnerships.
• Maintain appropriate compliance MIS and provide regular reporting to senior management.

Candidate Profile:

• Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Law, Finance, Compliance, Risk Management or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of relevant compliance experience, preferably with an NBFC, Bank, Fintech or Digital Lending company.
• Strong practical understanding of RBI regulations and the Indian lending ecosystem.
• Hands-on experience with digital lending, NBFC partnerships, LSP arrangements and regulatory compliance frameworks.
• Strong understanding of KYC/AML, customer protection, grievance redressal, outsourcing, collections and recovery-related compliance requirements.
• Experience managing regulatory audits, inspections, reporting and interactions with regulators.
• Strong risk assessment, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to independently identify compliance gaps and drive remediation across teams.
• Strong communication, documentation and policy-drafting capabilities.

We are looking for someone who can take complete ownership of the compliance function — from regulatory interpretation and framework development to monitoring, issue identification and remediation — rather than simply coordinating compliance activities.
