Compliance Manager - Assistant

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Compliance Manager / Compliance Manager to support and oversee the company’s regulatory compliance, corporate governance and risk management activities.

This role is suitable for a compliance professional with experience in a public-listed company, regulated environment or corporate governance function who is ready to take broader ownership across compliance, Bursa requirements, ESG, data protection, internal audit coordination and regulatory matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and monitor compliance policies, procedures, controls and compliance registers.
• Monitor regulatory requirements and ensure appropriate follow-up and remediation.
• Support compliance with Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements and corporate governance obligations.
• Coordinate statutory and corporate governance matters with the Company Secretary and relevant departments.
• Coordinate with outsourced internal auditors and monitor audit findings and corrective actions.
• Support and oversee ESG and sustainability reporting and related regulatory requirements.
• Support the company's data protection and DPO responsibilities.
• Maintain licensing, permits, registrations and regulatory compliance records.
• Support contract management and review of tenders, agreements, NDAs and related documentation.
• Work closely with Legal, Finance, HR, Company Secretary, Internal Audit and management.
• Guide and supervise junior compliance personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Law, Corporate Governance, Risk Management, Compliance or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in compliance, corporate governance, ESG, risk management, internal audit or related areas.
• Experience handling compliance matters within a public-listed company for at least 2 years is highly preferred.
• Good understanding of regulatory compliance and corporate governance requirements.
• Exposure to Bursa Malaysia requirements, ESG, PDPA/data protection, internal audit or contract management would be advantageous.
• Strong analytical, organisational and document-review skills.
• Able to manage multiple regulatory deadlines and work independently.
• Possess own transport and willing to work in Kota Damansara.
