Compliance Manager

About the role

AsiaPay (Thailand) Ltd. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Compliance Manager to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a strategic position based in Bang Rak, Bangkok, where you will be responsible for overseeing compliance operations and managing risk across our financial services operations. The Compliance Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring that AsiaPay adheres to all regulatory requirements, internal policies and industry standards. This position is integral to maintaining the trust of our stakeholders and protecting the organisation from regulatory and operational risks.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain comprehensive compliance policies, procedures and guidelines aligned with Thai financial regulations and international best practices
• Monitor and assess compliance risks across all business units and functions within the organisation
• Conduct regular compliance audits and reviews to identify gaps, control weaknesses and areas for improvement
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting to regulatory authorities and senior management regarding compliance status and risk metrics
• Provide compliance training and guidance to staff across all levels to foster a strong compliance culture
• Investigate compliance breaches, violations and suspected irregularities, and recommend corrective actions
• Maintain and update compliance documentation, records and evidence of regulatory compliance activities
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, external auditors and regulatory bodies to address compliance matters and support inspections or inquiries
• Review and approve commercial agreements, policies and business initiatives from a compliance perspective
• Stay informed of regulatory changes and emerging compliance issues relevant to the financial services industry

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in law, finance, business administration or a related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in compliance, risk management or regulatory affairs within the financial services or banking sector
• Strong knowledge of Thai financial regulations, including rules governing payment service providers and financial institutions
• Familiarity with international compliance standards and frameworks such as AML/CFT, KYC and data protection regulations
• Excellent understanding of operational risk management and internal control frameworks
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement compliance strategies and frameworks
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Thai and English
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments and stakeholders
• Professional certification such as CCCA, CRMA or similar compliance-related qualification is preferred
• Experience with compliance management systems and data analysis tools is advantageous
